The fabulous halls of Matt's Fort

Tykarpsgrottan is located to the south of Hässleholm, and is one of the largest cave complexes in Skåne which is open to the general public. The cave complex extends for around 20,000 m2, and is located 10-12 metres under ground. There are guided tours which include the place where Ronia, the Robber's Daughter was filmed. After a guided tour, visitors can enjoy a candle-lit meal of pea soup with Swedish punch or whole roast pig. The cave also features an open-air exhibition which explains the history of limestone and limestone quarrying.
Surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Göingebyggden area, and with a wide variety of events, the Tykarpsgrottan cave complex is a popular location with companies, many of whom use it for conferences.
